The Friendship & Cultural Centre is in the newly presented (2011) Award winner Szent István Square in the centre of Százhalombatta, that is exceptional in Europe. The Cultural House is strategically the most important institution it determines the city’s present and moreover its long distance intellectual future. Due to the support of the government we are able to operate two more public buildings in Dunafüred and in the old town of Százhalombatta. The main building was reconstructed in 2010 by the financial support of the European Union and the co-financer European Regional and Development Fund. More than 70000 people participated in the programs and events in 2011 that we organised by the Cultural Centre. The institution gives place to more than 50 creative communities, clubs, and art groups to help their professional work. The inquirers can choose from wide ranges of activities from dance though handicraft and classical music. In our clubs you can deal with esoteric themes, education, life coaching consultancy, and other creative activities. We keep direct contract with the local pensioners, helping their active entertainment and recreation. This means 1500 people visit the Cultural Centre weekly. The Cultural House has a serious knowledge in organising cultural, local, national, and other events. We can find almost every segment of cultural programs on the palette of the Cultural Centre. Our colleagues always try to do their best when organising the varietes of concerts, thearical performances, family days or youth days.

Our purpose is to expand the accessibility of our programs in the South-Buda region, and to promote our institution in the area. To reach this goal, we try to organise valuable programs and productions to our audience. We pay high attention to involve all the citizens in our public events and in other national feasts. The Cultural Centre organises alone or in co-production many festivals and outdoor events and feasts every year. The theatre’s season tickets are very popular and the performances are always full of audience. You can visit excellent art exhibitions in the exhibition area. We regularly organise concerts in the Main Square during the summer, which have a unique atmosphere.
